- Girl in a Country Song - It's already been established that I absolutely love this song. It quickly became the top song on my iTunes most played with close to 200 plays because it is the perfect antidote to all of the bro-country songs on the radio, and it's also super catchy. 10/10.
- Sierra - This song is a diss to the typical high school mean girl. Lyrics like "a heart of gold is something very rare/and the only one she has is on that necklace that she wears" and "Sierra, Sierra, life ain't all tiaras" make the song shine lyrically as much as it's catchy. The mmhmmms at the end of the song are a little annoying, so this is a high 9/10.
- Fly - A really beautiful ballad that highlights another, more poignant side of Maddie & Tae's songwriting. (of course, you'd have seen that side if you watched their radio tour videos of Smoke and After the Storm Blows Through, but certainly not everyone did.) Their voices really shine as well on this song. 9/10
- Your Side of Town - Perhaps it's that this is the third catchy diss song on the EP, or perhaps this song is not actually quite as good as the other three. Still, those were a high bar, and this song is still pretty great, with lines like "I tore your page out of my biography" and nice harmonizing on the verses. 8/10
