Due to the sheer number of fall 2015 albums I didn't end up reviewing, I've decided to do smaller reviews of some albums I have less to say about and compile them into one post. This is part 1 of that post, featuring reviews of 25 by Adele, Light Up The Dark by Gabrielle Aplin, Thirty One by Jana Kramer and Storyteller by Carrie Underwood.
Miranda Lambert's fifth studio album is aptly titled Platinum, a collection of sixteen songs highlighting her sassy, as well as her softer side. She isn't scared to show vulnerability in songs such as "Bathroom Sink" and "Hard Staying Sober", displays a confident attitude in "Platinum", "Little Red Wagon" and "Girls", and dishes out wisdom in songs such as "Babies Makin' Babies", and "Gravity's A Bitch". Overall, it's a quite smoothly arranged album that shows many facets of her personality, and longtime fans will not be disappointed.
